Subject: Civic Voices professional development announcement
Civic Voices will be conducting our final two Civil Rights seminars in Birmingham, Alabama this fall – the first from Sept. 22-25 and the second from Sept. 30-Oct. 2. The experience is enriching both personally and professionally. The partnership between Civic Voices and local AFT leaders in Birmingham has flourished and they will once again help arrange fabulous speakers and interviewees to share first-hand accounts from the city iconic to the civil rights movement.
An application is attached, but it can also be found by visiting the new Civic Voices Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/civicvoices The page is already serving as a forum for educators to share their work on the project and exchange resources, so please take a moment to log in, look up the Civic Voices page, and “like” it. Building our Facebook presence will help us share the fabulous work you all are doing with a much wider audience.
